In the portal era, winning the offseason is becoming nearly as important as winning games - especially at Kentucky.
Mark Pope took to X/Twitter yesterday to answer fans' questions and address concerns about the perception of his offseason in Lexington.

Pope said Kentucky is often used for leverage in NIL negotiations with other schools and that he hopes to have all 20 of the top high schools prospects in next year's class visit Lexington. He acknowledged missing on top-ranked Tyran Stokes, but noted that his staff wasn't "sitting on their hands" and loves the roster they've put together.
The video is a response to local media's criticism that Pope hasn't made any public comments since the NCAA Tournament, though it's fairly uncommon for a coach to address the fans this time of year. At Kentucky though, the expectations are different and the juxtaposition of Louisville's heralded transfer class only adds fuel to the fire. As always if Kentucky wins games next season, none of this will matter.
Notable commitments: Jadis Jones (Lindenwood) to USC | Akai Fleming (Georgia Tech) to Cincinnati | Jaylen Curry (Oklahoma State) to Virginia Tech |
