The largest 5-in-5 lawsuit to date was filed in North Carolina yesterday, with over 50 players suing the NCAA for eligibility this season.

The lawsuit is the latest in a string of legal action against the NCAA. A judge in Ohio recently granted a temporary restraining order granting eligibility for 24 men's and women's players, including MJ Collins and Filip Borovicanin. A separate lawsuit in Colorado is expected to come to a resolution within the next week.

Meanwhile, the NCAA continues to lobby Congress for a bill granting them an antitrust exemption. With the Senate heading to recess, it looks increasingly unlikely a vote on the Protect College Sports Act will be held before the college basketball season begins. The Big Ten and SEC, the bill's biggest roadblocks, are still hung up over language concerning cap circumvention and a handful of other topics.

The calendar will turn to August this weekend without any clear indication of eligibility for the close to 100 players currently suing the NCAA.
