The Tennessee Court of Appeals issued an order staying the injunction previously granted to the plaintiffs, making more than a dozen college basketball players ineligible for now.
The NCAA has now won three straight appeals, calling into question the long-term viability of the remaining state lawsuits.

While the NCAA is battling in court, conferences are battling the wave of former pros trying to come back to school.
The SEC finalized harsh punishments for schools violating the league's newly minted rules prohibiting professional athletes. The league is also enforcing its intraconference transfer rule, which prohibits players from transferring within the league outside the normal transfer portal window. This is significant for new Kentucky Wildcat Mark Mitchell, whose eligibility is once again in peril.
The Big 12 released its own set of rules that needed clarification on scope and implementation.
The ACC is expected to draft similar guidelines to the other power conferences, and the Big Ten is expected to expand its rules to all sports sometime next week.
Meanwhile, Texas A&M signee Bryson Warren was granted a TRO against the NCAA, giving him eligibility this upcoming season. Because of the SEC's new rules, Warren technically can't play at Texas A&M, but he and the school are seeking options to get him on the court.
As for the currently eligible, Florida transfer Xaivian Lee committed to Gonzaga.
