Will Wade is at it again, this time thanks to a Louisiana judge ruling that former G-Leaguer RJ Luis is eligible to play this season.

Luis was the 2025 Big East Player of the Year and left St. John's with one year of eligibility remaining to enter the NBA Draft. He went undrafted, signed a two-way deal, and spent last season in the G League. Because of injury, Luis played only four games and never appeared at the NBA level. Luis' attorneys used his injury and a comparison to overseas athletes to make their case. LSU football made news for similar reasons this week, signing former NFL player Dae'Quan Wright.

The SEC once again released a statement asking Congress for help with the Protect College Sports Act.

With Congress not set to return until mid-September, we've got a long way to go and a ton of lawsuits to adjudicate before anything of substance happens at the government level.
