The NCAA earned a massive victory in court on Friday.

In a 2-1 decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit granted the NCAA’s request to stay a nationwide preliminary injunction. The players previously granted eligibility are now unable to play until a final decision on the appeal is made - which may not come for several months.

The NCAA released the following statement to its members in response to the news:

While players who were relying solely on the Colorado case are now ineligible, those who won their individual state cases can still play.

Shortly after the NCAA earned a stay in Colorado, a Kentucky judge granted a TRO to Thomas Castellanos and Mark Mitchell, making them eligible for the upcoming season. Both players were also granted the ability to enter the transfer portal.

Those eligible in the state lawsuits continue to find new homes.

Donovan Dent committed to LSU, just a few months removed from retiring from basketball altogether.

Mark Mitchell committed to Kentucky, giving the Wildcats one of the best frontcourts in the country.

Treysen Eaglestaff committed to UC San Diego.

Dallin Hall committed to Utah State.

Because of the ruling in Colorado, expect several more individual state cases to pop up this week.
