Wofford at Tennessee (-28)
Knoxville, TN | 6:00 PM ET | SEC Network

This is strangely the third time in four years that Tennessee has played Wofford after not playing them at all for a 20-year span. Two of these were scheduled and the third is a Round of 64 game in 2025 that barely anyone recalls, but hey, rivalry. Or something. In both of those games, admittedly with much different personnel and a different coach, Wofford did a good job of spreading Tennessee out by way of more or less ignoring the rim and opting instead to take approximately one billion jumpers. Kinda says something about something that in said Round of 64 game Wofford only took 47% of their shots from deep and I was a little underwhelmed.
Tennessee should probably self-prepare for something similar here. Wofford has some good shooting options here between Luke Flynn, Chris Arias, and Cam Lowe; I would wager each will be encouraged to let it fly as often as they'd like. That makes handicapping this one difficult. Tennessee's exhibition outings were horrendous, but this is the same Tennessee program that has seemingly intentionally blown exhibitions to prove a point. (Remember when Indiana came into Knoxville and beat Tennessee straight-up despite missing key pieces?)
