Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje lived up to the hype in his first game as a Duke Blue Devil.

The 17-year-old freshman filled the stat sheet with 19 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. He was also extremely efficient, shooting 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-5 from three. Belmont had no answer for his size and athleticism, and we can't imagine many teams on the schedule will either.

Duke raced out to an early lead and won 102-62. Dame Sarr added 19 points of his own to go along with six rebounds and three assists. John Blackwell had 17 points in his Blue Devil debut. Matthew Zobrist led Belmont with 11 points.

In other exhibition action:

LSU 63 | McNeese 60: LSU needed all 40 minutes with just five scholarship players available. The Tigers hope to get a few more players eligible before the season starts, but we'll likely see more box scores like this until then.

Larry Johnson led McNeese with 22 points and five rebounds.

Alabama 111 - Furman 93: The Crimson Tide had six players score in double figures. Amari Allen led the way with 19 points, six assists and five rebounds. Tarris Bouie added 18 points and eight rebounds in his Alabama debut. Marcus Kell and Abijah Franklin combined for 43 points, while Charles Johnston logged a double-double (16 points, 10 rebounds) for Furman.
