Don't tell Nate Oats and Steven Pearl that these games don't mean anything.

Auburn and Alabama played an exhibition game in Birmingham last night that was appropriately titled "The Feud."

Tempers flared after Keitenn Bristow and Thomas Dowd got tangled up going for a loose ball. Oats and Pearl exchanged words before officials separated them, and Pearl used the incident to fire up his bench.

The game itself was back and forth all night, with Alabama using some late free throws to win 87-85.

Amari Allen led the Tide with 23 points, while Qayden Samuels added 20 points before fouling out. Kevin Overton had 26 points for Auburn.

After the buzzer sounded, there was even more fisticuffs.

The Iron Bowl of Basketball always delivers - even in October.

Virginia used a 16-0 first-half run to pull away from Villanova on its way to a 93-71 win.

Thijs de Ridder led the Cavaliers with 17 points and was one of five players who scored in double figures. The Hoos made 17 threes, shooting 45% from distance.

Villanova was once again led by the duo of Tyler Perkins and Devin Royal. They combined for 41 points and 16 rebounds after scoring 45 points last week against George Mason.

More exhibition scores: Murray State 86 - FIU 79 | Queens 110 - Charleston Southern 94 | Purdue 92 - Purdue Fort Wayne 62 | Lafayette 83 - Drexel 58
