Michael Malone is unofficially undefeated as a college basketball head coach.

The Tar Heels beat USC 88-70, thanks to a blistering 51-point second half. Jarin Stevenson dominated with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Neo Avdalas was all over the floor, with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Trojans were without KJ Lewis, Christian Collins and Eric Reibe, but the return of Rodney Rice was a pleasant sight. Rice poured in 22 points and dished out 5 assists. Alijah Arenas added 17 points.
