Cayden Daughtry came into Peach Jam as a top-10 prospect in the class of 2027, so he's not exactly snuck up on anyone. But we're not sure anyone expected him to dominate on the EYBL's biggest stage as he has so far.
The 6'0" point guard from Calvary Christian (FL) is averaging 36.3 points, 6.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.3 steals per game through three games. He's shooting an insanely efficient 61% from the field, including 44.4% from three and 90.6% at the free throw line.
His team fell to 2-1 yesterday after a triple-overtime loss to NY Rens, but Daughtry had 43 points and this buzzer-beater to extend the game.

When asked after the game if he should be considered the top player in the class, he said, "That’s a conversation some people don’t want to have … just because of my size."
Daughtry's recruitment was already full of heavy-hitters, but his performance this week will surely turn up the interest. He's taken visits to Tennessee and Louisville, and has a visit to Iowa scheduled later this fall. Kentucky, Florida, UConn, Miami (FL), and Michigan are other schools heavily involved in his recruitment.
Whichever school lands Daughtry will be getting a high-level, immediate-impact player whose Peach Jam mixtape will be the stuff of legends for years to come.
Other notable performances from Peach Jam include:
Troy Fason had 41 points on 11-20 shooting in a triple-overtime win over Daughtry's Florida Rebels.
Beckham Black had 24 points and six assists in a win over Brad Beal Elite.
DeMarcus Henry had 27 points and nine rebounds in a loss to Jet Academy.
