Sometimes the best game of the day is the one that is broadcast for free on YouTube late at night.

Cal Baptist and Oregon State locked into a non-conference duel that nearly 2,000 people enjoyed on YouTube courtesy of the Pac-12 channel. Cal Baptist came away with a 79-77 win over the hosts.

Let's start with Oregon State. They were led by freshman Taylor Young in scoring on the evening as she put up 22 points in her first college action. She was knocking down shots from all angles and was a huge reason why Oregon State was able to come back after being down by 13 points. Jenna Villa got off to a slow start but still ended the game with 21 points and eight rebounds.

The story of the night was Cal Baptist's Lauren Olsen and her circus shot to win the game with just over a second left in the game. Olsen finished the game with 24 points, and nothing was bigger than her two points at the end of the game. Chloe Briggs finished the night one point away from a double-double as she finished with nine points and 10 rebounds. Sofia Alonso dished off 11 assists for the Lancers.

Alabama’s Alayna West almost recorded a triple-double tonight against LSU New Orleans. Alabama ended up winning the game 118-45 and were not challenged much in the contest. Still, coming off the bench and putting up a stat line like the one below is extremely impressive.

The bulk of the day was blowouts in buy games, although there were a few games that got a little scary for the hosts. After losing to a non-D1 school in their first game of the season, Norfolk State was tied at the half with District of Columbia at 24 points apiece. Norfolk State ended up pulling it out in the end. Delaware State trailed Georgian Court by seven points with just over five minutes left in the game. The Hornets escaped and won 80-75, but it was almost disastrous.

Cincinnati played a closer game with East Texas A&M than they would have liked. The Bearcats only led by two points at the end of the third quarter but pulled away a bit in the fourth to win by eight points. UAB trailed Fisk at halftime by one point and only had a two-point lead going into the final frame. UAB pulled out the game 70-60 to save the embarrassment.
