A trio of 2027 point guards announced their commitments over the weekend.

First, Tom Izzo and Michigan State found their future PG1 in Antonio Pemberton.

Pemberton chose the Spartans over Kansas, Tennessee, Creighton, Ohio State, UCLA, Marquette and Boston College.

The 6'1" Massachusetts native is ranked #27 in the SC Next 100. He averaged 23.6 points in 19 games with Mass Rivals on the Adidas 3SSB circuit this summer. He's the first commit of the 2027 class for Tom Izzo.

Jake Diebler added his second commitment in as many days with the addition of Jaxson Davis.

Davis chose the Buckeyes over Iowa, Creighton, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Marquette.

Davis was named Mr. Basketball in Illinois in 2025 and 2026. This summer, he averaged 15.1 points, 5.6 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game on the EYBL circuit for Meanstreets. He joins Deng Ngor as the first two commits for the Buckeyes in the 2027 class.

The last point guard domino to fall was Micah Gordon's commitment to Creighton.

Gordon chose the Bluejays over a final list that included West Virginia and VCU.

Gordan averaged 18.1 points and 4.7 assists on the EYBL circuit this summer playing for PSA Cardinals. At #30 in the SC Next 100 rankings, he's the highest ranked commit in Creighton history.

One more point guard is scheduled to come off the board this afternoon, with Javion Tyndale set to announce his commitment. Several industry experts have placed predictions for Seton Hall to land the four-star out of Montverde Academy.
