Tom Izzo closed out September with another 2027 commitment.

Four-star center Jaydn Jenkins is headed to East Lansing to play for the Spartans next season. The 6'10" shot blocker picked Michigan State over NC State, Pitt, Xavier and Ohio State.

247Sports' Adam Finkelstein's scout:

Jenkins is a long and athletic big man who plays a run and jump style. He has a massive, 7-foot-4 wingspan, broad shoulders, quick feet and bounce. He’s one of the best rim protectors in the class, particularly when he’s coming from the weakside of the floor. He’s still lean though and needs to add a significant amount of strength through his chest.

Jenkins joins point guard Antonio Pemberton in Michigan State's 2027 class.

Jenkins' commitment to the Spartans likely takes them out of the race for fellow 2027 center Kamsi Awaka. The younger brother of Tobe Awaka, Kamsi released a final five schools that, in addition to Michigan State, included Florida, Arizona, UConn and Arizona.
