It's July 22, and teams are still adding players to their 2026-2027 rosters.

Miami added Michigan transfer LJ Cason yesterday. The 6'2" guard entered the portal last week after the departure of Dusty May to the NBA and was immediately linked to the Hurricanes. The Lakeland, Florida native averaged 8.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists this season before suffering a torn ACL in February. Cason will likely miss the first half of the season because of the injury.

BYU landed a commitment from 23-year-old Polish big man Jakub Urbaniak. The 6'9" forward averaged 8.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 24 minutes across the EuroCup and PLK. He fills a desperate need for the Cougars, who have struggled to add frontcourt depth this offseason.

Arkansas commit Caleb Ourigou is reclassifying to 2026 and joining the team this season. This was an expected decision following his commitment last week, but was made official yesterday. The Razorbacks found themselves in a similar situation as BYU, needing a big man to solidify their frontcourt rotation. The 6'10" freshman will likely get some good run in a backup role.

Expect a plethora of additions in the coming weeks if graduating seniors win their 5-in-5 lawsuits. Multiple teams still have spots and money available to fill out their rosters before their respective fall semesters begin.
