Eight short months ago, many were wondering about the man sitting next to Bubba Cunningham on their television sets during the aftermath of the NCAA Selection Show.

That accomplished man is Keith Gill. He is the Commissioner of the Sun Belt and has spent time across college sports leadership including multiple stints working for the NCAA. He became the AD at American U. in 2007, and also served as Richmond's AD beginning in 2012.

Keith Gill had stints at Vanderbilt and multiple stints at Oklahoma as a student for his Master's degree and as a Senior Assoc. AD. Mr. Gill graduated from Duke as well after playing football for the Blue Devils. Giving him a wide-range of experiences and perspectives on the landscape of college sports.

He now finds himself on the cusp of an important leadership role as NCAA Selection Committee Chair for the 2026 campaign, while the entire college sports enterprise business continues to change and divide.
