Evan Bradds couldn’t have asked for a better seat.

March 19, 2017. Belmont fell in the second round of the NIT at Georgia Tech, which followed an upset win over Georgia. Four seasons and 95 games as a Bruin under the legendary Hall Of Famer, Rick Byrd, and suddenly Evan Bradds' playing career as a Bruin ended.

The family name Bradds is of English origin, believed by some to be a variant of the name Braddock, which denotes someone associated directly with a place.

That place is Belmont University for Mr. Bradds.

The now 31-year-old surging coach has pivoted from a playing career injury and to build his life into one of professional coaching, where he quickly fell in love with the art of player development.

Bradds rose above the glass ceiling of becoming an exceptionally young full-time NBA Assistant Coach with the Boston Celtics and the Utah Jazz, when a fascinating opportunity presented itself at Duke University.

Today, after a year at College Basketball's highest level, Bradds' place had the opportunity of a lifetime waiting for him: become the next head man of the proud Belmont program.
